Review of the year 2023

The year is drawing to a close. At VIEROL, we can look back on an eventful 2023 that was characterised by exciting developments and successful ventures. Together, we have reached milestones, created new solutions and broken new ground. With a committed workforce and inspiring events that brought us together as a team.
Many changes, both good and bad, have shaped us, our work, our lives and our togetherness. After the end of the coronavirus protective measures, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief and take off, even though times remain turbulent due to the war in Ukraine, inflation and new crisis hotspots. With the new sales company in Poland and a total of over 220 motivated employees in the VIEROL AG team, we entered the home straight in 2023, including over 30 new talented people who quickly became part of the team with enthusiasm.

A team is much more than the sum of its parts: together with our employees and business partners, we can look back on many positive moments, events and highlights that are particularly memorable:

The industry visits VIEROL
In spring, the GVA’s Junior Working Group (JAK) met at VIEROL in Oldenburg. Over 50 representatives of GVA member companies from the automotive parts wholesale trade, the automotive parts industry and providers of technical information came together for the first meeting of the Junior Working Group (JAK) in 2023.

Awarded the TOP Training seal once again
The Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) has recertified 15 member companies from the region and awarded them the TOP TRAINING seal of approval. Among them is VIEROL, which has already received the seal in the past and can now carry it for another three years.

VIEROL-SHOP.DE goes mobile – launch of the mobile version
More and more visitors to our online shop are moving with the times and prefer to use their smartphones to browse our quality brands and spare parts. The mobile version of vierol-shop.de makes this even easier and particularly convenient. What’s more, the mobile site works directly in the browser without the need for a separate app and therefore works on both Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS or other mobile operating systems.

Open day at VIEROL Werk II
On 2 September 2023, VIEROL AG’s Werk II opened its doors for a very special occasion – the “Open Day”. Numerous employees and their families had registered to take an exclusive look behind the scenes of our logistics centre. The result: an unforgettable day full of enthusiasm and joy.

Baskets Top Four – sporting highlight and great basketball weekend
Oldenburg and the north-west region were able to look forward to a top-class event at the beginning of the year: the TOP FOUR in the BBL Cup was held in Oldenburg on 18 and 19 February 2023. For VIEROL as the main sponsor of EWE Baskets, it was two days in which Oldenburg, the team and its fans made an impression in basketball Germany. A weekend in which the passion for the sport was lived in the city.

Strong together. We’ve got you covered – VIEROL launches a major workshop campaign
With a comprehensive marketing programme on all known social media channels and articles in the trade press, VIEROL’s cross-media campaign shows that partnerships with workshops create enriching communities and that the continuous optimisation of EXPERT KITS+ is proving its worth in practice thanks to the community. The campaign recognises the practical exchange with car mechanics in garages throughout Germany.

Further investment in the new Werk II logistics centre
Another highlight of the year was the expansion of logistics capacity in the new Werk II. With the investment in a fully automated packaging machine, the dispatch area had to be set up even better to cope with the growing number of orders. The optimisation of the packaging process goes hand in hand with a sustainable reduction in packaging waste.

Focus on sustainability
Responsible and sustainable management takes centre stage at VIEROL AG. One of our particularly noteworthy initiatives is the decision to use recycled containers in the production of operating materials. These innovative containers require significantly less virgin plastic and consist of 30 per cent recycled material (PCR content).

An inspiring atmosphere – the event highlight at the end of the year
After a two-year break, the entire VIEROL AG team was once again able to look forward to a highlight at the end of the year. True to the motto “Work hard, play hard!”, the team celebrated a fantastic Christmas party at the end of the year and is looking forward to an equally spectacular 2024!
