New chapter in motorsport – Dennis Fetzer and VAICO in the fast lane
29 April 2025Successful debut in the Ford Mustang GT3
The 23-year-old proved his skills on the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife in the first race of the season from 21 to 22 March. Together with his team-mates Dirk Müller, Jusuf Owega and David Schumacher, Fetzer achieved a respectable twelfth place in the strong field of participants. Despite weather-related challenges and a strategic choice of wet weather tyres, the team was able to collect valuable data to further develop the car.
First full season in the ADAC GT Masters
A new adventure awaits Dennis Fetzer in the 2025 season: his first full season in the ADAC GT Masters. He will once again take the wheel for HRT Ford Performance in the black and gold Ford Mustang GT3 with starting number 2. His team-mate: Jonathan Cecotto, experienced GT driver and son of former DTM and Formula 1 driver Johnny Cecotto. At the official test at the Lausitzring on 7 May, the two drivers will get to know each other and get used to each other – an important basis for a successful collaboration on the race weekends.
The season begins at the Lausitzring from 23 to 25 May, with further stops including Zandvoort, Nürburgring, Red Bull Ring and Hockenheim. As an additional challenge, particularly long races await at three events: so-called endurance weekends, each with two 80-minute races. A welcome task for Fetzer, who has plenty of endurance racing experience.
By competing in the ADAC GT Masters category ‘Road to DTM’, the 23-year-old is also fighting for a place in the popular touring car series this year. The best Silver driver under the age of 25 will receive the entry fee for the upcoming DTM season – an additional incentive for Fetzer to give his all in every race.
VAICO as a strong partner at Fetzer’s side
With the support of VAICO, Dennis Fetzer is relying on an experienced partner in the automotive sector. The brand, known for its high-quality spare parts and lubricants, is now increasingly contributing its expertise to motorsport. The co-operation with Fetzer underlines VAICO’s motorsport DNA and shows how important performance, precision and reliability are in motorsport.
Destination DTM? The future holds many possibilities
With his experience in various GT3 racing series and his commitment to Ford Performance, Fetzer has already proven that he has the potential for higher tasks. It is therefore not unreasonable to look towards the DTM, especially as the Mustang GT3 is establishing itself as a competitive vehicle for the popular German touring car series. It remains to be seen if and when it will compete in the DTM – but one thing is certain: with VAICO as a partner and his tireless ambition, Dennis Fetzer is heading for a promising future.
