Foundation stone laid at VIEROL in Oldenburg

17 February 2020
On Monday, February 17, 2020, the foundation stone for the expansion of VIEROL’s headquarters in Karlstrasse was ceremonially laid. Among the approximately 100 invited guests was guest of honour David McAllister, who praised the courage of the company in a speech. The new building stands for the growth of the international vehicle parts specialist.

The time capsule for the foundation stone was filled with a daily newspaper, coins minted in 2020, the construction plans, a VEMO spark plug as well as objects related to the other brands VAICO and ACKOJA, a photo of the administration building as of 01.04.2012 and the VIEROL values. The time capsule was then walled into the foundation stone of the new building.

A total of 10,000t of sand has already been excavated during the construction work. There will be 3,900 square meters of additional office space, so that the headquarters will offer a total of 7,000 square meters of office space after completion. At the same time, the VIEROLINO large day care centre for children with 10 day care places will expand to a size of 200 square metres with its own garden. In addition, an underground car park with more than 60 parking spaces as well as additional above-ground parking spaces will provide sufficient parking space.

Completion of the twin building is planned for spring 2021. Earthworks for the expansion of the logistics centre in Rastede have also already begun, and the foundation stone is scheduled to be laid there in April 2020.
