Expansion of the VIEROL company headquarters – completion after only 15 months

• Furnishing and relocation are about to be completed
• Only 15 months of construction time since the foundation stone laying ceremony in February 2020
• The newly constructed building will double VIEROL AG’s office space

After the approval by the building supervision authorities of the City of Oldenburg, the new building will become fully operational in only 15 months. In the last few weeks, the building and site were finalised: the last work on the façade was completed, the scaffolding dismantled and the parking spaces for employees were developed. The completion of the new areas continued inside the new VIEROL building. The open-plan design with large windows already offers a glimpse into a part of the new premises. The modern and elegant new building is a twin to the existing building and is an eye-catcher as an overall complex.

Basis for further growth

“We are very much looking forward to moving into the new office space. For us, this marks another important milestone in the company’s history. In general, 2021 has seen a number of exciting developments for us: As a successful provider in the automotive sector, we are well positioned both domestically and internationally. Our extremely positive performance in recent years reflects our increasing personnel requirements. We have also set up additional operating divisions, which is why we need the new building. It’s the starting point for further planned growth”, says Mrs Mirja Viertelhaus-Koschig, CEO of VIEROL AG.

Expanded by additional 3,900 square metres, the headquarters now offer a total of 7,000 square metres of office space. The VIEROLINO daycare centre with 10 childcare places has also been expanded to a size of 200 square metres with its own garden. There is also an underground car park for over 60 vehicles and additional above-ground parking spaces.

The expansion of the company headquarters is also designed according to the latest standards. The new, modern offices will be equipped with air purifiers. “The new office spaces have been designed to create an employee-friendly workplace environment,” says Viertelhaus-Koschig. The building complex offers various options to get in touch with customers and co-workers. The light-infused offices, the state-of-the-art meeting rooms and the tastefully furnished social points and cafés offer the perfect environment for the employees to work together and achieve future business goals; comfortable lounges will encourage employees to take regular breaks and generate new ideas. An in-house fitness centre complements the offerings and provides for a seamless work-life balance.

VIEROL is also further upgrading its corporate headquarters: “The showrooms in the new building have been redesigned to present the company’s product portfolio to our customers and employees even better in the future,” explains Mr Ulf Koschig, Deputy Chairman of VIEROL AG. This is where the new “CARNATURA” division comes into play. In addition to a modern working environment and showrooms, Mr Koschig expects further advantages from the new building. In addition to the light and airy spaces, this also enhances our attractiveness as an employer, because VIEROL can now expand its workforce: “The new building allows the company’s workforce to be nearly doubled in a future-proof workplace,” says Mr Ulf Koschig.
