Anniversary: 25 years of VIEROL training and commitment to young talent

31 August 2022

For 25 years, VIEROL has been committed to the development of young people through a wide range of training programmes. In 1997, when the training was launched, everything was still new: the training contents, the career paths and the linking of theory and practice.

Thus, 25 years ago, the first two trainees started their vocational training as foreign trade clerks at VIEROL AG. In the meantime, the family-owned company also trains in the areas of IT and warehouse logistics in addition to wholesale and foreign trade. Since 1997, more than 170 young talents have successfully completed their training at the Oldenburg-based car parts specialist and achieved individual professional goals. Trainees from the past are now active in responsible positions at VIEROL and train young talents. Currently, 27 apprentices are working at VIEROL AG in a wide variety of training professions.

Reason enough to celebrate the 25th anniversary of training with a colourful evening programme at the VIEROL Academy in Rastede. Around 80 guests, including current and former trainees of the company, trainers and supervisors as well as vocational and general education schools were invited to the occasion. Furthermore, company representatives from cooperating companies and other companions of the past 25 years took part in the event. The celebration was interspersed with a colourful programme of games and entertainment for the current trainees, their trainers and the invited guests.
“Our commitment to young talent and the next generation of managers has continued to be lived out with much friendship and motivation over the past years. The enrichment by the specially trained junior staff shows that both the trainees and our company benefit in the long run from a demanding training”, says Mirja Viertelhaus-Koschig, CEO of VIEROL AG.
As a family business, VIEROL promotes young talents with great personal commitment. With the TOP AUSBILDUNG quality seal, the high quality of the training was confirmed by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). “We are proud of the TOP AUSBILDUNGSBETRIEB award and are pleased about the appreciation for our commitment to vocational training!”, says Mirja Viertelhaus-Koschig. The training programme includes practical training in which the trainees can actively participate as well as a versatile supplementary programme to support personal career planning.
