28th round of entrepreneurs at VIEROL: Outstanding style with strategic vision
05 June 2025For the second time, one of our sponsors organised a business round for the Basketball Business Club. It is no surprise that VIEROL was once again the host. The main sponsor of the EWE Baskets has always impressed with its dynamic innovative strength and had something new to present this time too – as it did at the business round in October 2022.
While almost three years ago it was WERK ll, the then newly built logistics plant at the Oldenburg-Nord motorway junction in Rastede, Mirja Viertelhaus-Koschig, CEO of VIEROL AG, Ulf Koschig – Deputy CEO, and Ibrahim Chahrour, Head of Marketing & Product Management, together with Christian Andresen, Managing Director of EWE Baskets, and Nils Wolfram, Head of Sales at EWE Baskets, welcomed the guests on Tuesday afternoon high above the rooftops of Oldenburg in the recently inaugurated KARLS BUSINESS LOUNGE.
A metropolitan rooftop atmosphere: in Karlsstraße, in the heart of Oldenburg, a 1,000 square metre event space has been created with state-of-the-art technology, high-quality equipment, a generously designed bar, creative retreats and exclusive options for business events.
The enthusiasm of the more than 100 guests at the business event was palpable in view of the well thought-out and stylish realisation. There is no question that the KARLS BUSINESS LOUNGE has all the ingredients to become the new cool place among the locations in the city and the region right from the start. Like Karlstrasse, the name refers to the Oldenburg merchant and honorary citizen Karl Hermann Klävemann, who made great social and political achievements as a politician and benefactor in the 19th century. With the KARLS BUSINESS LOUNGE, VIEROL is creating a place of encounter, inspiration and exchange – above the rooftops of Oldenburg.
Ulf Koschig used the impact of first impressions in his opening statement with a humorous wink: “Don’t think that the automotive industry is doing badly and VIEROL is now getting into event management. Quite the opposite: our industry is doing extremely well!” According to Ulf Koschig, VIEROL is planning for growth at the site in the coming years. In any case, the outlook for the future is very optimistic thanks to innovative action.
VIEROL’s marketing reflects its multi-brand strategy with regard to its own sports sponsorship. VIEROL is represented by VAICO, VEMO and ACKOJA in motorsport, but also in football, handball, ice hockey and – of course – basketball. “As a sponsor, we are also a fan. We’re cheering them on,” says Ibrahim Chahrour. “But it’s much more than that. Our sports sponsorship offers numerous opportunities for our employees and customers to be there. This is incredibly well received and in this respect it is a tool for us to retain employees.”
VIEROL also sees itself as having a social responsibility. “This not only brings visibility for us, but also for our partners in the associations and clubs. And so we are happy to use this Entrepreneurs’ Round Table format to promote the EWE Baskets as a sponsor,” says Ibrahim Chahrour.
VIEROL has integrated an exhibition by Aneta Pahl into the tour of the KARLS BUSINESS LOUNGE especially for the Entrepreneurs’ Round Table. The paintings by the Hamburg artist offered a mixture of pop art and sport and blended in wonderfully with the scenery.
