  • Company founded by Jürgen R. Viertelhaus in Rastede.
  • Take-over of commercial dealerships for well known German and Italian automotive parts producers – system suppliers of the automobile industriy Girling, Textar, Pirelli, GLO etc.- on German and European markets.
  • Project manager for the building up of a production of transmission parts der GKNUni-Cardan, 1982 - 1988.
  • Consulting activities and completion of projects for leading German industrial companies in the automotive field.
     
1988
  • Beginning of purchasing activities for German wholesalers and foreign automotive parts importers at own risk.
  • Transfer to new office facilities in Oldenburg.
     
1994
  • Establishment of an own sales organization in Europe and overseas, primarily with automotive electric components and brakes.
  • Transfer to present administration building in 26121 Oldenburg, Peterstrasse 6.
     
1995
  • Extremely high expansion due to good development of turnover in USA and Asia.
  • Rental and set-up of own new warehouse facilities with floor space of 1,000 m² in Oldenburg.
     
1996
  • In course of world-wide expansion of the Internet, early registration of Web domains www.vierol.de, www.autoteile.de, www.automotive.de and www.autoparts.de.
     
1998
  • Registration of the brand VEMO auto electric with patent office (Vierol Elektro Motoren Oldenburg).
  • Rental of warehouse facilities with floor space of 2,400 m² in Oldenburg.
     
1999
  • Registration of the brand VAICO autoparts with patent office (Vierol Automotive International Company).
     
2000
  • Change of name from VIEROL Automotive International GmbH to VIEROL Aktiengesellschaft [Incorporated]. Mr Jürgen R. Viertelhaus (75,5%) and Mirja Viertelhaus-Koschig (24,5%) hold the shares.
  • Line of products includes a wide assortment of over 40,000 items. Supply to VIEROL dealerships in 36 countries.
     
2001
  • Conversion and reduction of product range to a special line with own quality brands VAICO and VEMO for chassis and engine parts as well as automotive electrical and electronic components, sensors and air-conditioning, primarily for AUDI/VW, BMW and MERCEDES BENZ. This step made the company independent of the major companies dominating the automotive supplier market.
  • Foundation of VIEROL Asia Ltd. in Singapore for commercial activities in Asia, especially China and Japan, and Autralia / New Sealand.
     
2004
  • Product line now includes approx. 7.000 special items, supplied to VIEROL dealerships in 117 countries.
  • Planning completed for construction of a new logistics warehouse with 10,000 m² of floor space in two construction phases.
     
2005
  • Start of construction of our own logistics warehouse, 1st phase, 6,000 m². 15 new full time positions and 5 additional apprentice positions created.
  • Opening of te VIEROL Rep. Office Cina in the German Centre in Shanghai on 18 november 2005.
     
2006
  • Opening of the new logistics centre in 26180 Rastede, Handelshof 1, located in the industrial area near the motorway junction Oldenburg North.
  • Opening of the internet shop www.autoparts-worldshop.com.
     
2007
  • Foundation of VIEROL Automotive GmbH for the worldwide distribution of original spare parts of German vehicle manufacturers.
     
2010
  • laying of the foundation stone of our new headquarter, Oldenburg, Karlstrasse 19.
     
2011
  • Completion of the 2nd construction phase of our logistics warehouse in 26180 Rastede. VIEROL AG has an excess of about 35.000 storage places:
    Floor space: 10,000 m”
    Enclosed space: 96,142 m“
  • Installation of a 4,000 m” photovoltaic plan to generate our own needed electricity
  • Planning of a new automated small-parts warehouse, installation and operation in 2012
  • The construction of the new VIEROL headquarter is going according to plan, moving-in date: 15 March 2012
  • Establishment of the VIEROL corporation in Atlanta, USA. Opening March 2012
  • VIEROL supplies over 18,000 quality spare parts under the name of our two premium brands VEMO Leading air con & electronic systems and VAICO Autoparts Germany to contract partners in 128 countries.
