Oldenburg – The international automotive supplier Vierol AG remains faithful to its Oldenburg location. After looking for years for a suitable plot to build its new company headquarters, Vierol has now purchased 2900 square meters of land on Karlstraße where it is investing €5 million in new company headquarters.
As company founder and CEO Jürgen R. Viertelhaus told NWZ on Thursday, work has begun in planning the new building with 2200 square meters of office and usable space. Completion date for the new building according to Viertelhaus is set for the third quarter 2011. The company is thus creating the basis for further growth with "new qualified and sustainable" jobs and apprenticeships, said Viertelhaus.
The existing premises on Peterstraße occupied since 1988 by the company headquarters on Peterstraße have been bursting at the seams for years. But it was not easy to find new premises, according to the CEO. "If we hadn't managed to clinch the deal on Karlstraße, we would have had to leave Oldenburg", said Viertelhaus. Instead, the new building "in the heart of Oldenburg" now documents the company's deep bond with the region.
The highly specialized company continues to enjoy rapid growth. As system supplier for the automotive industry and spare parts market, in the crisis year 2009 Vierol chalked up its best ever results. The company has a subsidiary in Singapore, a branch in Shanghai and will soon be opening another in Atlanta/USA, Viertelhaus announced.
Vierol AG also plans to invest in its central warehouse in Rastede that started operating in 2006. "Here too we're bursting at the seams", said Viertelhaus. Another €3 million will be invested here.
